Sgt. Sasquatch review: “this is a series that has a lot of potential”

Author and columnist Susan Jane Bigelow reviewed the first issue of Sgt. Sasquatch. This part of the review made me chuckle.

God, just look at that title. … It’s glorious. It promises pulpy action and a story that is full of unapologetic Golden Age comic book schmalz.

Susan picked up on the Indiana Jones vibe of the story. There is indeed schmalz, as well as action and a bit of social commentary.

I like the action, here—it’s very fast-paced and exciting. … I also thought the art was pretty decent … and the page suggests that future issues will be colored. The art there looks fantastic, so I imagine it’ll just get better from here.

She also enthused about the cover of a future issue, which she saw on the Sgt. Sasquatch Kickstarter page.
